Way Forward
The old path we have followed as humanity is leading us down the path of destruction. The modern world we have created, based on a constant growth economy, is destroying nature, consuming the earth's resources without regard for long-term impact, and risks killing all other creatures who live here. Our leaders, industrialists, politicians, and most of us want to have it all, to live the good consumer life without regard for the next and the next generation.
Our future does not lie in history, even though the dogmatic knowledge that is there can be very useful. There is also a lot of knowledge that only exists to preserve the power of a few and is not beneficial to humanity at large. The future is instead carried by the children of the planet, the children of all creatures. They need support from adults who have come to realize that the old way of governing and living is not sustainable. People who have understood that we can only consume as much per year as the planet can regenerate in a year. It is time to move from words to action. Not with words, documents or negotiations that don't really mean anything. That don't lead to any real change in practice.
The responsibility lies with all of us to act, to speak our minds or to form opinions that lead to actual action.

Save the Children
I created the expression Save the Children and will let it serve as a guiding star for my life. Initially, I focused on what knowledge and skills we transfer to our children and young people during the time they spend in schools or other educational institutions. By trying to understand how the curricula at different levels would prepare children with knowledge that would help them cope with the increasing demands and the enormous flow of information that hits them.
During a meditation it struck me that Save the Children was not only about what we offer as intellectual training but also of the ways we live, what we eat, the quality of the things we eat. It also is about what we need to do to have a healthy body without a large portion of artificial amplification. This goes also for how to keep our mental health at a stable and fit level.
The insight from the meditation highlighted that we need to put the children first, not only children from humanity, but all children. For me it means the children, or offspring, from any living being. I am completely aware about that different species kill and eat other species. But they do not take more than they need. It is only one specie that does that.
I draw some of my inspiration from three other areas. These form the foundation, or philosophy, behind Save the Children. The three areas are The Fire of Children, The 7 th Generational Thinking and The Great Law of Peace. You can read about them below.
